Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) has confirmed its commercial commitment to Australian cricket by once again securing the live broadcast rights for every ball of the Big Bash League (BBL).
The coverage of the 15th edition of Australia’s premier Twenty20 competition will be distributed across the entire SEN network and the SEN app.
The BBL coverage, which launches with the Perth Scorchers hosting the Sydney Sixers, is a key component of SEN’s extensive cricket program, immediately following its broadcast of the second Ashes Test and the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) Finals.
Highlighting the network’s dedication to accessibility and fan engagement, SEN CEO, Craig Hutchison, said: “The Big Bash League continues to be one of the most exciting T20 competitions in the world, and we’re thrilled to bring every ball to fans across the country.”
Sports Entertainment Network will broadcast all 40 regular season games plus all four finals, deploying expert commentary teams live and in-venue across the country.
The network’s breadth of coverage is immense, spanning AM frequencies in major cities like Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, regional stations, and digital platforms via the SEN app.
Furthermore, Sports Entertainment Network is leveraging technology to enhance the fan experience and retention, with Hutchison mentioning the availability of SEN Sync and SEN Stadium.
This integration ensures that fans can seamlessly stay connected to the action and experience the energy of the BBL wherever they are, often overlapping with up to 16 hours of continuous cricket coverage on some days, directly following Ashes Test match coverage.
By continuing to secure these lucrative broadcast rights and maintaining a powerful regional distribution footprint, including Queensland home games across the Resonate Regional Radio Network, SEN cements its corporate honour as the definitive audio provider for Australian cricket, translating into high value for its advertisers and commercial partners.
