Crown Resorts has announced its support with Golf Australia, confirming their position as title partner for the 2025 Crown Australian Open.
The championship will return to The Royal Melbourne Golf Club from 4–7 December, bringing one of the strongest player fields in two decades to the famed Sandbelt.
The announcement was made during Crown Oaks Day at Flemington, just weeks ahead of the 2024 edition of the event, which features leading names including Grand Slam champion Rory McIlroy, Adam Scott, Min Woo Lee and Cameron Smith.
Golf Australia CEO, James Sutherland, said the elevated partnership reflects the tournament’s momentum and international standing.
“We are assembling one of the strongest fields in the past 20 years, headlined by Rory McIlroy, to play at Royal Melbourne.”
“Rory’s commitment to play demonstrates the global renown of our national open and the Melbourne Sandbelt,” Sutherland said.
Crown Resorts has served as a major partner of the tournament since 2023, establishing itself as a preferred accommodation and hospitality destination for interstate and international attendees.
The event continues to demonstrate strong travel-driven demand, with nearly 30% of ticket purchasers arriving from outside Victoria this year, reinforcing Melbourne’s position as a global golf tourism hub.
Ticket demand has surged across the weekend rounds, with limited general admission access remaining for Saturday and Sunday.
Hospitality suites are sold out, and only select premium experiences, such as Birdies Nest tickets and Ticket+ Pavilion access, remain available for Thursday and Friday.
The partnership positions Crown Resorts as an anchor supporter of Australian sporting events, while further enhancing the destination experience for visiting golf fans and players.
