McLaren Racing Announce Iron Mountain as Official Partner

Iron Mountain, a global leader in information management and digital transformation, has been announced as an Official Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team.

The partnership will play an important role in digitising and activating McLaren’s historic archives, connecting fans and partners to the iconic moments that shaped one of Formula 1’s most storied teams.

Beginning with the 2025 United States Grand Prix, Iron Mountain branding will appear on McLaren’s F1 race cars and across multiple team touchpoints throughout the 2025 season and beyond.

Digitising McLaren’s Racing Legacy

Commenting on the partnership, co-chief commercial officer of McLaren Racing, Nick Martin, said: “Our fans are at the centre of what we do, with Iron Mountain, we can share more of our rich history in innovative ways—connecting our fans and partners to the McLaren brand like never before.”

Expressing his dedication to the partnership, executive vice president & chief commercial officer at Iron Mountain, Greg McIntosh, added: “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to innovation and high performance.”

“Our platform will unlock new value from McLaren’s iconic heritage media, preserving these timeless assets while engaging fans and partners for generations to come,” McIntosh expressed.

Iron Mountain’s AI-enabled digital platform will be central to McLaren’s digital heritage transformation—preserving, restoring, and converting valuable historical materials such as blueprints, vintage photography, and film footage into dynamic, intelligent content.

This initiative will enable McLaren to bring its history to life for global audiences, offering immersive storytelling experiences that celebrate the team’s legacy and innovation.

McLaren Racing will also leverage Iron Mountain’s expertise in secure and sustainable IT asset management, supporting efficiency and data protection across operations.
