In a notable event held this past Tuesday at the Estadio de la Cerámica, Villarreal CF, in partnership with the Social Football Summit Snack (SFS), welcomed industry professionals to a session focusing on the intersection of football, infrastructure, and urban development.
This edition of the SFS Snack, a concise international conference format, aimed to foster connections among football experts globally and promote innovation within the sports business sector.
The yellow stadium served as a backdrop for a dynamic gathering of high-profile speakers, including key representatives from Villarreal CF itself.
The theme ‘Football, Infrastructure and Urban Development,’ the discussion highlighted how stadiums can serve as pivotal drivers of economic growth, urban revitalisation, and social contribution.
A focal point of the event was the Estadio de la Cerámica, recently refurbished and now a cornerstone of public life in Vila-real and its surrounding areas.
Topics discussed at the conference included the strategic role of the stadium in facilitating the club’s growth, uncovering avenues for commercial expansion, and maximising the value of sponsorship deals.
The session was moderated by marketing professional Giulia d’Angelo and featured a distinguished panel that included Matteo Quitadamo, business developer at SFS; Brandon Páramo, international trade manager at Villarreal CF; Merche Añón Roig, commercial director at Valencia Basket Club; Pedro Iriondo, general manager of Football Benchmark; Juan Antón, commercial director at Villarreal CF; Mirko Cucchiarelli, head of premium sales and business community at AS Roma; and Noemi Úbeda, marketing and communication manager at Ascale.
