FIFA Unveils New Club World Cup Trophy Ahead of 2025 Tournament

FIFA has unveiled the official trophy for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, marking a new era for the prestigious tournament. Designed in collaboration with luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co., the trophy blends state-of-the-art production with rich symbolism, embodying football’s global reach and history.

The golden trophy is not only a tribute to the sport’s past but also a futuristic symbol. Its innovative design allows it to transform from a shield into a multifaceted, orbital structure, reflecting the evolving nature of the game. This adaptability establishes a powerful visual presence that is both prestigious and inclusive.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino stated, “The new trophy represents everything the 32-team FIFA Club World Cup stands for: innovation, inclusivity, and global unity.” He highlighted the significance of the trophy as a symbol of achievement for the tournament’s inaugural champions, who will be crowned at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on 13 July 2025.

The 24-carat gold-plated trophy features intricate engravings that celebrate the diverse history of football, including a world map, icons of footballing traditions, and inscriptions in 13 languages and Braille. The design also draws inspiration from celestial symbols and NASA’s Voyager Golden Records, symbolising the past and future of football.

The FIFA Club World Cup Trophy is not only a visual masterpiece but also a symbol of the game’s global appeal. The inaugural winner will hold a trophy that represents the pinnacle of club football, with the opportunity for the winning club’s emblem to be engraved on the trophy for future editions.

A replica of the trophy will be awarded to the winning team, with engravings commemorating their victory. This replica mirrors the original in its craftsmanship, scale, and design, ensuring the champions’ legacy is honoured.

The FIFA Club World Cup Trophy will be presented in its physical form on 5 December 2024, during the tournament’s official draw in Miami. Fans can access more information on tournament tickets and hospitality through FIFA.com.
