Netflix has officially released the trailer for its upcoming sports documentary series, “Sprint,” which will premiere on July 2. The series follows Olympic athletes Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Shericka Jackson, and others as they prepare for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The series captures the intense preparation and competition in Olympic-caliber track and field ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games, where every fraction of a second is crucial. World Athletics President Sebastian Coe highlighted the extraordinary physical and mental talent required to succeed in this sport, noting that athletes’ fates are often decided in just 10 seconds.
“SPRINT,” produced by the team behind “Drive to Survive,” covers the journey from the 2023 World Championships to the Paris Olympics. The documentary features athletes from the US, Jamaica, the UK, Ivory Coast, Kenya, and Italy.
Executive producers Paul Martin, James Gay-Rees, and Warren Smith at Box to Box Films, in association with the Olympic Channel, are behind the series.
