ICC, FanCraze Launch T20 World Cup Collectibles

The International Cricket Council (ICC) have partnered with FanCraze to release Crictos, a series of digital collectibles centred around the upcoming T20 World Cup.

A collection of NFTs, Crictos will be video clips of significant moments throughout cricket history and will be presented in tradeable packs.

The clips come from previous World Cups since 1992, including recent Women’s World Cup, and each item has a rarity rating attached.

After each match at the T20 World Cup, a memorable moment will be released, as a ‘Crictos of the Game’.

As part of the Crictos campaign, all fans attending a match at the tournament will receive a Crictos pack and will have access to games and prizes in the stadiums.

The Crictos product aims to gives fans a lasting memory of the T20 World Cup and improve fan engagement in the tournament.

Commenting on Crictos, ICC head of digital, Finn Bradshaw, declared: “We are delighted to be launching a world first for cricket through the ICC’s Official Digital Collectibles Programme.”

“Some of the biggest moments from every match at Australia 2022 will be made available to all fans to purchase as Crictos.”

“We’re also excited that every ticketholder will receive their own Crictos Pack as we step forward into a new era of cricket memorabilia.”

“It’s wonderful to be able to use new technology to create permanent mementos from this World Cup,” he concluded.

FanCraze CEO, Anshum Bhambri, added: “We are incredibly proud to bring the ‘see now-buy now’ experience to the cricket digital collectibles world.”

“Fans will now be able to buy their favourite moments from any ICC Men’s T20 World Cup game on match-day,” he said.

This announcement follows the ICC’s merchandise partnership with Fanatics for the World Cup, which begins 16 October.
