Knights fans can now buy last-minute tickets via text message

The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Vegas Golden Knights are teaming up with a new US start-up to notify fans of ticket upgrades opportunities and last-minute ticket sales.

Pogoseat is an American startup company, where Its app offers ticket holders the opportunity to upgrade seats during sporting events and concerts, by using GPS tracking to show a user’s location and a map of the seats available at a venue.

The Knights will utilise this technology to enable last season’s Stanley Cup finalists to sell tickets to their home games at the T-Mobile Arena via text message.

Fans who sign up for the text-ticket offers will receive text alerts from the ice hockey franchise as soon as tickets become available, providing instantaneous purchases when the recipient replies ‘BUY’, with the tickets being delivered to their account on the Flash Seats platform.

“We are always looking for ways to enhance our overall fan experience,” Vegas Golden Knights president, Kerry Bubolz said.

“Our new partnership with Pogoseat will give fans a secure and easy way to buy tickets as they become available.

“We have encouraged fans to keep checking back for tickets and this partnership will make it easier for them to know immediately when new seats are available for our home games,” he said.

This is the latest innovative deal to be signed by the Golden Knights, who became the first NHL franchise to secure a betting partner when they announced the deal with William Hill in September.
