The Adelaide 36ers basketball club has announced a three-year extension of its partnership with South Australian IT firm Comwire IT, marking a decade-long collaboration between the two entities.

This renewal showcase the increasing reliance of professional sports organisations on robust technology infrastructure and strategic business-to-business (B2B) networking.

Comwire IT will continue to provide IT services to the Adelaide 36ers, encompassing access to enterprise-level technology and specialised technical support.

This partnership is critical for a club operating within the demanding high-performance industry of the National Basketball League (NBL), as highlighted by Adelaide 36ers CEO Nic Barbato.
“Comwire IT continues to play a vital role in all we do with high-quality service and support,” Barbato stated.

Indicating the essential nature of IT in modern sports, from data analytics and player performance tracking to ticketing systems and fan engagement platforms.

Beyond core IT provision, the renewed agreement extends Comwire IT’s brand visibility through prominent placement on the club’s media polo and game day presence at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

In addition, Comwire IT will serve as the presenting partner for the “Sixers in Business” program, the club’s corporate networking initiative.

For the Adelaide 36ers, the “Sixers in Business” program offers a direct avenue for B2B engagement, facilitating connections between corporate partners and generating additional value beyond traditional sponsorship activations.

For Comwire IT, this provides a targeted platform to expand its network among “like-minded business owners” within the sports and corporate community.

Expressed by Comwire IT director, Mark Frahn, said: “We are also looking forward to our increased involvement with the Sixers in Business and continuing to grow our partnerships with like-minded business owners.”
