Ahead of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, X and Genius Sports Limited have teamed up to introduce their latest innovation, Trend Genius. This cutting-edge product is designed to leverage real-time conversations to enhance ad engagement during pivotal moments.

Powered by X’s Ads and Trend APIs, the Trend Genius technology enables advertisers to sync with the live discussions unfolding on the X platform across various categories. By monitoring the velocity of specific topics, the system triggers pre-set ad creatives to connect with audiences at the peak of their engagement.

In a unique twist, when chatter around a topic subsides, campaigns are automatically paused until the conversation gains momentum once more. As the exclusive data provider for major sports entities like the NFL, NCAA, and the Premier League, Genius Sports drew on its expertise in data-driven solutions to develop algorithms that facilitate the seamless activation and deactivation of ad expenditures across the X platform.

Genius Sports’ Chief Revenue Officer, Josh Linforth, emphasised the significance of timing in engaging audiences, stating, “Seconds can make all the difference, especially in the realm of sports data. Our goal was to empower brands to amplify their messaging precisely when conversations on X were most vibrant and impactful. We are excited to roll out this innovation at a time filled with sports excitement.”
