Western United FC Signs Kit Deal With Italian Sports Brand Kappa Ahead Of Debut A-League Season

Western United Football Club will run out for their debut Hyundai A-League campaign wearing a team strip produced Italian Sportswear giant Kappa.

United, who will line up for their first campaign in October of this year, has announced a new partnership with the global brand, which will be the club’s official apparel partner.

The deal will see the sportswear manufacturer supply the club with home and away strips and training apparel for players and staff.

“WUFC is delighted to announce a partnership with a brand that boasts over 100 years of footballing history,” Western United’s chief executive officer, Maurice Bisetto, said.

“As a new club in the Hyundai A-League we’ve got an opportunity to write a new piece of history and we need a quality product, with the right pedigree, to help us do this.”

In 2019, Western United will join the likes of Leeds United, Napoli and Torino – as well as the recently announced English club Aston Villa – in wearing Kappa apparel.

As well as football, the brand has for more than half a century produced distinctive, quality garments for basketball, volleyball, auto racing, skiing, sailing, golf, fencing and martial arts.

Kappa Australia CEO, Ze’ev Bogaty, said: “We are very pleased to be partnering with Western United Football Club and would like to thank Mr Bisetto and the team as we establish what we hope will become a strong, long-term and extremely beneficial partnership for both WUFC and Kappa.

“The partnership is a fantastic opportunity to support the A-league’s newest club and its representatives on the national stage.”
