ater Polo Australia (WPA) has announced a long-term extension of its partnership with KAP7, with the Water Polo ball manufacturer set to remain the official ball supplier through to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The deal is set to cover the whole of Water Polo in Australia, including the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships, the Australian Water Polo League, and junior participation program, Flippaball.

WPA CEO, Richard McInnes, said the continued support of KAP7 will help grow Water Polo further in Australia at both the grassroots and elite levels.

“We are excited to have KAP7 on board for another four years, and their support will extend across both grassroots and high performance programs,” McInnes said.

“KAP7 have been an important part of the Australian water polo family since 2018, and we’re excited to continue working with them in the buildup to our Olympic campaigns as well key national sporting events including the Australian Water Polo League and Australian Youth Water Polo Championships.

“We have seen the significant investment they are making to our sport right around the country and we value the opportunity to work with them hand in hand to collectively build water polo at all levels of the sport,” he said.

KAP7 Australia director, Tara Mackay, said: “KAP7 is very excited to continue our partnership with Water Polo Australia for a full Olympic cycle of four years.”

“This gives us scope to extend our reach throughout Australia with innovative water polo events, camps and clinics using high quality KAP7 balls and equipment.

“From Flippaball right through to high performance, our goal is to increase both enjoyment, participation, and development of water polo throughout Australia,” Mackay said.

As part of the partnership extension, KAP7 will supply unique designs for equipment used during the Australian Youth Water Polo Championships and Australian Water Polo League.
