University of Florida Health (UF Health) will continue providing elite medical and performance care to Team USA athletes through the Milano-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, following an extension of its partnership with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC).
The renewal builds upon UF Health’s initial two-year tenure as part of the USOPC Medical Network, during which specialists treated over 70 Olympic and Paralympic athletes from 18 sports.
UF Health is one of only four national medical centers selected to deliver specialized diagnostics, advanced treatment, and rehabilitation to America’s top athletes as they prepare for global competition.
A Trusted Health Partner for Team USA
USOPC chief medical officer, Dr. Jonathan Finnoff, praised the renewed partnership, noting that UF Health’s expertise meets the unique needs of Team USA athletes and reinforces a shared commitment to high-performance healthcare.
UF Health President and CEO, Dr. Stephen J. Motew, emphasised the symbolic and practical impact of the partnership, saying it sends a clear message that world-class care sits right here within UF Health.
The relationship highlights the importance of athlete-centered healthcare in sustaining performance and longevity.
For Team USA members like , bobsledder Elliot Markuson, UF Health’s top-tier care has already proven transformative.
“The care was top-notch. Now competing as a member of Team USA post-hip surgery, I’ve recommended them to other athletes,” Markuson said.
With the extended partnership in place, UF Health continues its mission to deliver Olympic-level medical excellence, advancing athlete welfare while enhancing Florida’s reputation as a hub for sports medicine and innovation.
