THE ICONIC Secures Landmark NRLW Partnership with Newcastle Knights

The nib Newcastle Knights have solidified a premier commercial alignment ahead of the 2026 NRLW season, naming leading fashion and lifestyle platform THE ICONIC as their exclusive online retail partner.

This first-of-its-kind collaboration for the digital giant will see the brand featured prominently on the team’s official playing kit and take the lead in designing the squad’s off-field uniforms.

Knights chief commercial officer, Jodie Cross highlighted the strategic importance of the deal, noting it as a significant signal of the momentum behind the women’s competition.

“It’s another sign of the incredible momentum behind the NRLW and the growing appetite for major brands to invest in the future of women’s sport.”

“At the Knights, our mission is to provide our NRLW and female pathway players with the tools to succeed as athletes, but more importantly, to feel empowered as individuals,” Cross said. 

THE ICONIC chief marketing officer, Joanna Robinson, emphasised that the partnership extends beyond traditional branding to support the broader development of female athletes as role models.

“We’re really proud to be supporting the Newcastle Knights women’s team.”

“They are role models for many young girls wanting to participate in rugby league — whether at a grassroots level or aspiring to be professional athletes.

“It’s about so much more than a logo on a jersey.

“The athletes, the club and the fans are building something special, and we’re excited to be part of it.

The agreement marks THE ICONIC’s inaugural entry into the sports partnership sector, selecting the Newcastle Knights as its foundation partner to bridge the gap between elite sport, fashion, and culture.
