TCL renews their sponsorship of Melbourne Cup

One of the world’s leading consumer electronics manufacturers TCL has extended their sponsorship of the Melbourne Cup Carnival horse-racing event with a new three-year deal.

The deal has been signed in preparation for this year’s Carnival, which will run from November 3-10 and as part of the agreement, TCL will benefit from brand exposure across Flemington Racecourse.

The Chinese company will also be the official title sponsor of the TCL TV Stakes race, taking place on Oaks Day, traditionally known as ‘Ladies Day’.

TCL will also supply all televisions for the event, through its large permanent viewing structure at Flemington racecourse, to ensure everyone has access to view the races no matter where they are at the venue.

TCL Australia general manager, Mark Zhang said: “The Melbourne Cup Carnival continues to be the ‘race that stops the nation’.

“With the whole country captivated, we are pleased to have TCL on board again this year to provide an immersive experience for our viewers, whether that be on the track of on the edge of their seats at home.”

This is the 14th year that TLC has been a sponsor of the major horse-racing event, which continues to be an excellent platform to promote the Chinese brand to Australian consumers.

The company has also confirmed its sponsorship of the Melbourne Victory Football Club’s 2018/19 season for the third year.
