Sharecare, a US-based digital health company, and Sydney Kings Basketball Club have announced a collaboration through which Sharecare will serve as the franchise’s exclusive health and wellness partner.
The partnership between Sharecare and the Sydney Kings marks the first global expansion of the Sharecare Movement as both teams commit to rallying Kings fans and Sydneysiders around their health.
Powered by innovative and award-winning technologies, scientifically validated clinical programs, and best-in-class content and tools, the Sharecare platform drives behaviour change by providing each user – no matter where they are in their health journey – with a personalised profile so they can easily connect to the information, programs and professionals they need to live their healthiest, happiest, most productive lives.
Today, millions of people globally are managing their wellbeing with the help of Sharecare and its digital platform, which soon will be available as a free smartphone app for consumers in Australia.
In 2017, the Sharecare Movement began in the U.S. as a collaborative initiative with the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks to improve the wellbeing of communities in the state of Georgia, where the Hawks and Sharecare’s global headquarters are based.
“We’re thrilled Sharecare has joined the Sydney Kings and are looking forward to building on this partnership into the future,” Sydney Kings CEO, Paul Kind said.
“Based on their positive momentum in the Sharecare Movement, we approached Sharecare with a vision of bringing the power of this initiative to Sydney in a way that is authentic to our fans and our communities.
“With Sharecare, we see tremendous opportunity to improve the wellbeing of our fans, communities and partners across Australia.”
“We are excited by this collaboration with the Kings and look forward to inspiring people in our communities to take control of their wellbeing,” managing director of Sharecare Australia and New Zealand, Riaan Rheeder said.
“Our partnership strategically combines the passion and power of sport with the promise of health technology, and through this growing movement, we see boundless potential for making Australia and the Asia Pacific Region a healthier place and setting an example for the world.”
