PGA Of Australia Partners With Enterprise Rent-A-Car Australia And Samsonite

The PGA of Australia has announced the signing of two partnerships, with Enterprise Rent-A-Car Australia extending as the official car rental partner and Samsonite becoming an official partner.

As part of the deal, Enterprise will continue to provide exclusive deals to PGA professionals, as well as to millions of golf fans with PGA’s digital and tournament assets, for the next three years.

PGA of Australia commercial director, Michael McDonald, said PGA is excited to continue to develop the strength of the partnership with Enterprise.

“We are delighted to continue this relationship into the future and develop the partnership further,” Mr McDonald said.

“Enterprise has shown a great commitment to golf through their partnership with not only the PGA of Australia, but also the European Tour, where they are an official supplier.

“Enterprises domestic and large international footprint will continue to provide a strong benefit for our members as they travel to compete in more than 400 professional tournaments and events annually that the PGA administer as the governing body of professional golf in Australia,” he said.

The deal will see PGA also work with Enterprise to promote offers to golf fans and the lucrative golf tourism market, which is valued at $20 billion annually worldwide.

Alongside this deal, the PGA of Australia have announced the signing of Samsonite as an official partner, working to leverage the PGA’s digital and tournament assets, also providing exclusive benefits to PGA members.

McDonald said the deal will help extend on golf’s success in the tourism industry.

“We are excited to have a premium brand like Samsonite partner with us and the PGA team is looking forward to assisting Samsonite in connecting with our members, golf fans and golf travelers,” he said.

“Golf tourism is a $20 billion industry with 30 per cent of regular golfers taking a specific golf holiday annually.

“Samsonite has recognised a great opportunity to engage with golf travelers and enable us to continue to enhance this industry which ultimately benefits our PGA members,” McDonald said.

These deals come only a few weeks before the commencement of the Australian PGA Championships, set to take place from December 19-22.
