PGA of Australia and Coca-Cola Amatil Extend Partnership

Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) is set to become the PGA of Australia’s’ official hydration partner for the next three years after signing an extension to their previous deal.

The announcement means CCA will provide all non-alcoholic beverages including water, sports drinks and a variety of other CCA beverages across ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia events, as well as the Volkswagen Scramble, Ladbrokes Legends Tour, Ladbrokes Pro-am Series, Greg Norman Medal and PGA Education Programs.

The PGA of Australia commercial director, Michael McDonald, said this extension highlights the work CCA has done with them over the last 10 years.

“Coca-Cola Amatil’s commitment to Australian golf, the PGA of Australia and our PGA Professionals over the last 10 years has been pivotal to the continued growth of both our sport and the wider industry.

“We are delighted to continue this relationship into the future and develop the partnership further,” Mr McDonald said.

Coca-Cola Amatil general manager on-premise, Lana Slayman, said this partnership is beneficial for both parties due to the association’s national reach.

“Whilst the PGA of Australia is well known as the owner and operator of the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia, it also stages, promotes, markets and administers approximately 400 tournaments annually as the governing body of professional gold in Australia.

“With an additional 400+ Volkswagen Scramble events with over 30,000 participants each year, it is this depth of events and their connection with PGA Professionals and the gold industry that provides us with a great opportunity to continue our commitment to golf in Australia through this partnership,” she said.

Along with this deal to become the official hydration partner of the PGA of Australia, CCA will continue to provide PGA Professionals and their golf facilities access to their market-leading brands and trading benefits, along with optional education programs focussed on sharing Coca-Cola Amatil’s industry knowledge and trends in retail merchandising and sales.
