PepsiCo partners with Saudi Pro League to elevate fan experience

The Saudi Pro League (SPL), Saudi Arabia’s premier domestic soccer competition, has announced a significant partnership with drinks giant PepsiCo, marking a major boost for the league and its fanbase.

Under the terms of the contract, PepsiCo’s involvement will extend for the remainder of the current SPL season and throughout the entirety of the 2024/25 campaign. The partnership will see PepsiCo’s renowned brands integrated into various aspects of the league’s operations, with Aquafina named as the SPL’s official water partner, Pepsi as the official soft drinks partner, Gatorade as the official sports drink partner and Lay’s as the official potato chips partner.

The collaboration aims to enhance the matchday experience for fans through a series of activations and events, leveraging PepsiCo’s global reputation for quality and innovation. This move underscores the SPL’s commitment to providing innovative and engaging experiences for its passionate fanbase.

This partnership with PepsiCo follows Lay’s existing sponsorship deal with the Saudi Women’s Premier League, solidifying PepsiCo’s presence in the Saudi Arabian football landscape and demonstrating the company’s support for the development of football at all levels.

The addition of PepsiCo as a gold partner further strengthens the SPL’s partnership portfolio, which recently welcomed adidas as the league’s official match ball supplier in a deal that runs until the end of the 2024/25 season, replacing Nike. Additionally, the SPL secured a significant five-year title sponsorship agreement with real estate developer Roshn in August 2022.
