Padel Australia has announced an exciting collaboration with Empower Padel, introducing three dynamic events aimed at increasing female participation in the sport across the nation.
The initiative will commence in Canberra on 19 July with the Empower Padel Australia: three cities, one movement taster events, specifically designed for women.
Commenting on the collaboration, marketing manager at Tennis Australia, Dulcie Davies, said: “These events provide women with an engaging introduction to a sport that is not only fast-paced and enjoyable but also accessible to learn.”
“They create an environment for women to build connections, gain confidence, and simply have fun,” Davies mentioned.
These events cater to both newcomers and experienced players, incentivising them to engage with Padel.
Participants can expect a day filled with entry-level coaching, social gameplay, prizes, and ample networking opportunities.
Furthermore, Davies highlighted that the partnership with Empower Padel facilitates additional opportunities and pathways for women to enter the world of Padel, both at grassroots and professional levels.
Following the Canberra event, subsequent gatherings are set to take place in Brisbane and Albury.
