oxtel has announced a new partnership with Toyota Australia, with the automotive brand becoming a primary partner of the new Kayo Local offering.

As part of the deal, Toyota will support Kayo in the broadcasting of various local state sporting competitions across Australia, including rugby league, AFL, cricket, hockey, basketball, and golf.

Toyota will provide Kayo-branded HiLux vehicles at local NSW and Victoria sporting events, as well as sponsoring Kayo’s coverage during the recently introduced, Kayo Freebies broadcasts.

Foxtel Media sport sales and partnerships director, Martin Medcraf, said nutrition company, Musashi, has also joined as a launch partner of Kayo Local and will provide its products across community sports venues.

“Foxtel Media is excited to be partnering with great brands like Toyota and Musashi to shine a spotlight on these local state teams and competitions,” Medcraf said.

“More and more Australians are watching sport on Kayo, the one-stop shop for the best sports streaming content.

“State and community sport is an integral part of Aussie life.

“It gives our communities several teams to rally behind, breeds healthy competition and is a chance for us to recognise the incredible sporting talent playing at this level,” he said.

Along with the new partnerships, Kayo will also give away 50 grants of $1,000 to local rugby league and AFL clubs across NSW and Victoria, as well as complimentary 12-month Kayo subscriptions to any local sports club in Australia.

As part of the Kayo Local offering, the platform will broadcast the Queensland Rugby League, Intrust Super Cup, VFL, Women’s National Cricket League, Club Cricket Finals, Hockey One, National Junior Basketball Championships, and the NSW and QLF Golf Opens.
