South Korean car manufacturer, KIA Motors, has just signed a landmark agreement to take over NRMA and become the Brisbane Broncos new major partner.
The five-year deal is a major coup for the Broncos, especially after the club’s on-field performance was heavily criticised in the media during the 2019 season.
The KIA logo will now adorn the front of the Broncos jersey for all NRL matches and across all Official Club apparel for the 2020 to 2025 NRL seasons.
Broncos Chairman, Karl Morris, said: “We are delighted to announce we will be entering a wonderful partnership with Kia Motors Australia and we welcome them with open arms to the Broncos family.
“We share similar values and have a strong focus on success.
“Kia has been a long- term devotee of sports sponsorship in this country.
“This loyalty has enabled them to drive incredible growth in their business and we have a desire to help Kia Motors Australia expand their footprint even further right across Australia.
“To secure one of the world’s biggest and most respected car manufacturers as our major partner demonstrates the strength in the Broncos brand,” Morris said.
This partnership is the first significant partnership in Queensland for Kia and will also connect Broncos Members with Kia Motors Australia dealerships.
Broncos members will benefit with a range of vehicle specials to be offered across the Broncos membership program.
Kia Motors Australia’s Chief Operating Officer, Damien Meredith, said: “As a company, we value the opportunity to be involved in community activity, and in the Brisbane Broncos we believe we have found an organisation which shares Kia’s drive for success and excellence.
“The chance to continue our growth in Australia in association with the mighty Brisbane Broncos is one we are extremely excited about.”
The new partnership between Kia and the Broncos was launched today at the Clive Berghofer Centre with a number of Broncos legends on hand including Allan Langer, Wendell Sailor, Lote Tuqiri, Darren Lockyer, Justin Hodges, Sam Thaiday and Scott Prince.
The Broncos are the latest addition to Kia’s sporting family with the Australian Open Tennis, Australian Turf Club, GWS Giants and the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs already in partnership the award-winning motor company.
