Kayo Sports Extends Supercars Rights in Multi-Year Deal

Kayo Sports and Supercars have confirmed a new multi-year broadcast agreement, effective from 2026, ensuring expanded coverage of the Repco Supercars Championship and reinforcing the Foxtel Group’s dominance in motorsport broadcasting.

The agreement guarantees that every round of the championship, alongside the Bathurst 12 Hour, will be shown live and ad-break free during racing on both Kayo Sports and Foxtel, with all events available in ultra-high definition.

More than 350 hours of live Supercars content are expected annually, positioning the deal as the most extensive coverage in the category’s history.

A Pivotal Moment for the World of Supercars

The partnership arrives at a pivotal moment for Supercars. Toyota will join the grid in 2026, adding to the long-standing Ford–Chevrolet rivalry and potentially broadening the championship’s commercial appeal.

The calendar will also expand, featuring the first New Zealand double-header in 2026 and a proposed Perth street circuit slated for 2027, designed to become a marquee event.

Foxtel Group CEO, Patrick Delany said the agreement reflects the value of motorsport in Foxtel’s sports portfolio, which already includes Formula 1, MotoGP, NASCAR and World Superbikes. He emphasised that Supercars remains a “first-tier” property for Australian sports fans and highlighted Foxtel’s ability to deliver an integrated motorsport package unmatched globally.

Broader Audience Engagement and Long-term Stability

For Supercars, the deal secures long-term broadcast stability and ensures continued exposure to a large subscriber base.

CEO James Warburton described the partnership as “an enormous win” that will allow the category to showcase its refreshed format, including a Sprint Cup, Enduro Cup, and Finals Series.

The agreement also underscores Foxtel and Kayo’s strategy of reinforcing their leadership in motorsport streaming at a time when competition in sports rights is intensifying.

By bundling premium global and domestic racing properties on a single platform, the Foxtel Group strengthens its subscriber proposition and creates further leverage in negotiations with advertisers and partners.

With the championship entering a new era of manufacturers, markets, and marquee events, the extension provides Supercars with both financial security and a powerful broadcast platform to build its audience across Australia and New Zealand.
