uventus have announced a record three-year, AUD$70 million per year, front of jersey partnership extension with Jeep through to 2023/24.

In a statement, the club said the extension follows an increased commitment Jeep made to the Italian top-flight football club in October 2019, increasing their annual sponsorship to AUD$65 million for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.

“This agreement stems from the mutual satisfaction of a successful partnership that has been accompanying Juventus and Jeep since 2012/13 sporting season,” Juventus said in a statement.

As part of the deal, Jeep will remain in the front-of-shirt sponsorship position for the Italian club, with the opportunity for Juventus to receive bonus payments depending on the club’s on-field success.

Both Juventus and Jeep are controlled by the Exor group of companies, and the deal has now become the most lucrative in the history of the Italian Serie A league.

Meanwhile, two Juventus players, Juan Cuadrado, along with Alex Sandro, have tested positive for COVID-19 as the Serie A season draws to a close.

In a statement, the club said: Juventus Football Club announces that, during the checks provided for by the protocol in force, the positivity to COVID-19 of the player Juan Cuadrado emerged.”

“The player has already been placed in solitary confinement and is asymptomatic,” the statement said.

Also in Juventus news, star player, Cristiano Ronaldo has become the second highest goal scorer in football history this week, passing Pele after scoring his 758th goal.

The Portuguese star now sits just one goal behind Josef Biscan as the highest scoring athlete in football history with 759 goals.
