As the world of technology continues to evolve, it was only a matter of time before virtual reality platforms like Gym Class would make their way into the sports world.
Now, with the recent announcement of their partnership with the NBA, fans of the popular basketball league will be able to immerse themselves with their favourite teams.
Gym Class VR has long been a leader in providing innovative virtual reality experiences for fitness and sports fans alike, and their platform, accessible through Meta Quest devices, has been praised for its realistic graphics, lifelike movements, and fun-filled gameplay.
Fans of the NBA will be able to purchase the new NBA Bundle, starting at $19.99, which includes access to all 30 NBA franchises.
Players will be able to step onto the court of their favourite teams, take on opponents with team-branded apparel, and even shoot hoops with team-branded basketballs.
Virtual courts will be designed with stunning accuracy, making players feel as if they’re playing right alongside their favourite NBA stars.
Commenting on the partnership, NBA head of digital consumer products, Adrienne O’Keeffe, said: “Our collaboration with Gym Class will provide our fans with a new way to express their NBA fandom and connect with each other.”
“We look forward to NBA fans fully immersing themselves through this innovative gaming experience,” O’Keeffe said.
The announcement comes the NBA partnered with Pepsi’s new brand, Starry.
