Gold Industry Group Expands WA Netball Partnership To Include Stadium Rights

Western Australia’s State Netball Centre will be re-branded after the venue secured Gold Industry Group as the new naming rights partner of the venue.

The announcement was made today by Sport and Recreation Minister, the Hon. Mick Murray, alongside VenuesWest CEO, David Etherton, Netball WA CEO, Simon Taylor and Gold Industry Group Vice Chairperson, Kelly Carter.

As the primary domain of netball in Western Australia, the Gold Netball Centre is home to West Coast Fever, is the main venue of the Gold Industry Group West Australian Netball League, and hosts Netball WA’s major events including the Fuel to Go & Play Association Championships and NAIDOC Netball Carnival, as well as housing Netball WA’s offices.

The news comes after a record $5 million partnership between the Gold Industry Group and Netball WA was announced earlier this year, which saw the Gold Industry Group support the growth of, provide more opportunities for and ensure the sustainability of netball across the State as the first Principal Partner of Netball WA, Elite Partner of West Coast Fever and Premier Partner of Shooting Stars.

Netball WA Chief Executive Officer, Simon Taylor, said the venue will continue to benefit the sporting community and play an important role in the development of Western Australian netballers.

“The Gold Netball Centre is a beacon for netball in Western Australia and we’re very proud to have the continued support of the Gold Industry Group,” Taylor said.

“The venue attracts more than 100,000 visitors annually and plays an integral role in the development of our athletes through world-class facilities, whilst also serving as the home of our elite teams.”

“The Centre hosts every level of netball in our State, from the introductory Suncorp NetSetGO, to Metro League, the Gold Industry Group WANL and the elite in West Coast Fever.”
