Gold Coast SUNS Lock in PILLAR Performance as Official Sports Nutrition Partner

The Gold Coast SUNS have officially announced a multi-year partnership with PILLAR Performance, naming the proudly Australian brand as the club’s Official Sports Nutrition Partner.

The agreement will see PILLAR’s range of clinical-grade micronutrition products integrated into both the AFL and AFLW programmes, supporting athletes through their training and recovery demands for the 2026 season.

Commenting on the partnership, PILLAR Performance founder and CEO, Damien Fitzpatrick, said: “We’re proud to be partnering with the Gold Coast SUNS and playing a key role in the club’s high-performance programs.”

“This partnership is more than just product, we are making a commitment to the players that we will always strive for the highest standards because we want to match what they’re doing on the field every day,” Fitzpatrick

SUNS high-performance manager, Alex Rigby, noted that the brand’s focus on individualisation was a deciding factor for the organisation.

“We have a really unique set of conditions here on the Gold Coast, and we also wanted to work with a brand that aligns with our values.”

“PILLAR’s approach to performance health aligns with what we want to be providing in terms of nutritional and recovery support to our entire squad,” Rigby said.

A key highlight of the deal is the installation of the PILLAR Nutrition Pod at the Austworld Centre. This dedicated facility within the SUNS’ headquarters provides players with immediate access to PILLAR’s premium range, streamlining the delivery of nutritional support in a high-pressure elite environment.

Founded by former professional rugby player Damien Fitzpatrick and led by world-renowned sports scientist Dr Dan Plews, PILLAR Performance has rapidly emerged as a market leader in high-performance health.

The partnership is built on an evidence-led approach, with PILLAR working directly alongside the SUNS’ dietitians and high-performance staff to tailor supplementation strategies that optimise recovery, training output, and long-term athlete health.
