Last night, Foxtel Group CEO Patrick Delany took centre stage at an exclusive event at the Beverly Rooftop in South Yarra, Melbourne, to unveil what promises to be the biggest and best AFL season yet on Kayo Sports and Foxtel. The event marked a significant milestone for the Australian sports broadcasting landscape, reinforcing Foxtel’s commitment to delivering an unparalleled viewing experience.
The 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season will be the most expensive broadcast deal in Foxtel’s history, a testament to the surging demand for premium live sports content. The agreement ensures that every game of every round will be available live and ad-break-free during play, streamed in 4K quality on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.
“This is the only place where you can see every game of every round live, not to mention with the best callers and the best pictures,” said Steve Crawley, Managing Director of Fox Sports. “Everyone at Fox Footy has been working hard to make sure we bring fans what they deserve—the best of the best.”
The launch event was attended by some of the biggest names in Australian sports, including AFL CEO Andrew Dillon, legendary players Marcus Bontempelli, Ebony Marinoff, and three-time premiership winner Dustin Martin. Fox Footy’s expert panel—including Jason Dunstall, Garry Lyon, Kelli Underwood, Sarah Jones, Jack Riewoldt, and Jonathan Brown—was also on hand to showcase the innovations that will define the new season’s coverage.
One of the night’s highlights was the unveiling of Fox Footy’s latest enhancements, including Historic Super Saturday LIVE coverage, New on-air talent and enhanced graphics, State-of-the-art studio sets and technology upgrades.
The event also introduced the Kayo Call Up winner, 22-year-old Jarra Davis from Gippsland, who emerged victorious from a pool of over 450 entrants. Davis will join the Super Saturday LIVE team, bringing fans exclusive social insights and behind-the-scenes access.
