Foodland and Adelaide 36ers Ink Landmark Extension Through NBL28

The Adelaide 36ers have announced a two-year partnership extension with iconic South Australian grocery group Foodland.

The deal ensures the “Mighty South Aussies” will remain a cornerstone partner of the club through to the end of the NBL28 season.

The renewal sees Foodland retain its status as the club’s Official Supermarket Partner. Under the agreement, the retailer’s recognisable logo will continue to feature prominently on the back of the 36ers’ playing and training jerseys.

Commenting on the partnership, Adelaide 36ers CEO, Nic Barbato, said: “This new two-year extension is a strong sign of trust in the direction of our club.”

“Foodland has a long connection to South Australian families, and its support enables us to enhance our community programs and deliver more opportunities for engagement with fans across the state,” Barbato said.

Emphasising that the alignment with the 36ers is built on shared regional values, Foodland CEO, Franklin Dos Santos, added: “The club’s engagement with families and South Australian communities is a key area of focus for our business.”

“We love being able to support both the gameday experience and the broader message of a healthy lifestyle to the next generation,” Dos Santos noted.

Foodland and 36ers Focus on Community and Healthy Lifestyles

A primary focus of the extension is the “Active Adelaide 36ers” program, a healthy lifestyles initiative targeting primary school children. The program leverages the influence of professional athletes to educate the next generation on nutrition, physical activity, and sleep.

With over 90 independently owned stores across South Australia and Broken Hill, Foodland’s continued backing provides the 36ers with a direct link to local growers and suppliers. This renewal caps off a strong commercial period for the club, as they continue to lead the NBL in home attendance at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
