The Women in Sport Summit 2025 is gearing up to be its most impactful edition, returning for its ninth year with an expanded program including a high-performance day and inaugural awards ceremony.

Taking place on the Gold Coast from August 27-28, the event is expected to bring together the biggest names in women’s sport, which includes industry leaders, and high-performance experts to drive meaningful change.

Key Dates:

📅 Wednesday, 27 August 2025 – Women’s High-Performance Day
📅 Thursday, 28 August 2025 – Women in Sport Summit & Women in Sport Awards

A Milestone Year for Women in Sport

Building on the overwhelming success of previous years, the 2025 edition introduces a dedicated High-Performance Day, an exclusive event focused on elite and aspiring athletes, coaches, and sports science professionals. With Griffith University and Vald as key partners, attendees will gain cutting-edge insights into sports science, performance, and leadership.

The Summit will also feature the return of the highly popular Student Day, providing young women with invaluable career insights and opportunities in the sports industry. The event will culminate in the first-ever Women in Sport Awards, celebrating the achievements, leadership, and innovation of individuals and organisations shaping the future of the sports industry.

A Growing Coalition of Supporters

The City of Gold Coast will continue to champion the event, where Deputy Mayor, Donna Gates reinforced its importance: “The City is thrilled to be supporting the 2025 Women In Sport Summit, an event that celebrates the invaluable contributions of women to the sports industry, and shares insights from leaders and innovators who are shaping the future of sport.”

“We look forward to the positive impact this summit will have to inspire current and future athletes, sports industry professionals and businesses, facilitate new opportunities, and continue supporting the exciting growth of women’s sport,” Gates said.

Joining the Summits key partners is a powerhouse lineup of sponsors, including Playa Power, Lion, TAB, TAG, LSKD, Sport Design Australia, and the Aussie Athlete Fund, further amplifying the Summit’s reach and influence.

Driving Change and Building Pathways

On the Summit’s expansion, Founder and CEO of Ministry of Sport and the Women in Sport Summit, Ben Parsons, believes it is significant leap forward: “Women’s sport is here, and we’re proud to lead the charge with an event that not only celebrates success but actively builds pathways for the next generation of athletes, professionals, and leaders.”

“The overwhelming demand for a dedicated High Performance Day and the continued success of the Student Day highlight the critical role this platform plays in shaping the future of sport,” he said.
