The 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season has unfolded as a remarkable event, delivering a booming experience for fans, as evidenced by the impressive viewership statistics.

The Crusaders have reaffirmed their status as a powerhouse, showcasing their dominance not just on the pitch but also in homes worldwide. In 2025, the team reported an average viewership surge of 40% compared to 2024, with an astonishing total viewership increase of 73% for the organisation.

The reach of the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season transcends borders, attracting millions of viewers from Bluff to Cape Reinga and extending globally.

This season’s heightened engagement is reflected in the surge of viewership across various platforms, with Crusaders matches consistently emerging as top performers. A closer look at the regular season broadcast data reveals a significant leap in viewer numbers.

This year, the Super Rugby Pacific season attracted an average of 404,787 viewers per round, up from the previous 278,946 in 2024—a notable 45% increase year on year. The Grand Final showcased this trend magnificently, drawing in a live television audience of 645,100.

Additional platforms also contributed significantly, with Sky Go registering 121,053 views and SSN (Sky Sport Now) recording 85,287 views. Collectively, this indicates an impressive outreach of over 850,000 viewers across all broadcasting platforms.

The overall broadcast figures for the Grand Final topped 1 million, reaching 1,092,414, marking a 16% increase over 2024. It is important to note that this total encompasses various metrics, including the Live TV audience, Sky Sport Now, Sky Go, replay services, and Sky Open.

The Crusaders have indeed led the charge this season, featuring in four of the five most-watched matches during the regular season and achieving a remarkable total live TV audience of 5,750,700 for the entire campaign. Their performance has helped etch the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season into the annals of memorable sporting events, raising the bar for future seasons.
