Cowboys Extend SCA Partnership For Three Years

North Queensland fans will have the opportunity to stay connected with their team as Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), the team’s long-standing club partner and current exclusive commercial radio partner, has announced the extension of their partnership for an additional three years.

This continued collaboration will ensure that supporters remain engaged and informed about the team’s progress.

SCA has been a vital partner since the Cowboys’ establishment in 1995, with their ongoing commitment to enhancing fan experience including the involvement of Cowboys forward Sam McIntyre, who will join the Triple M family to provide weekly on-air reports that offer insights and behind-the-scenes access to the club.

SCA will continue to back community initiatives such as the Cowboys Field of Dreams program, which aims to support local charities throughout the region.

This alignment reflects a mutual dedication to fostering community engagement and support.

Commenting on the partnership, Cowboys chief commercial officer, Dean Payne, said: “This is a fantastic outcome for rugby league fans across the north who rely on SCA’s digital and broadcast platforms to follow the progress of our club throughout each season.”

“Cowboys fans travel far and wide, and SCA’s unwavering commitment since the club’s inception has ensured our team has remained in the hearts, minds, cars, and living rooms of communities across our vast region,” he said.

SCA General Manager, Penny Hawken, added: “We are incredibly proud to extend our partnership with the Cowboys, continuing our commitment to delivering the best coverage for fans and supporting the North Queensland community.”

The partnership will also see familiar SCA personalities CK and Carley continue as ground announcers at Cowboys home games through the 2025 season.

Additionally, fans will have access to all match coverage from the popular Cowboys Call Team throughout the year, while Sam McIntyre’s weekly insights will be available on Triple M Breakfast stations across Townsville, Cairns, and Mackay.
