The Brisbane Broncos has announced a partnership with Palliative Care Queensland (PCQ) for a 50-50 Charity Raffle, directly supporting PCQ’s signature program, Ambulance Wish Queensland.
This collaboration positions the Broncos as actively engaged in community social responsibility initiatives, leveraging their platform to facilitate meaningful experiences for Queenslanders in palliative care.
The Ambulance Wish program provides specialist transport and clinical care to fulfil the last wishes of Queenslanders.
Funds raised from the 50-50 Charity Raffle, through online sales and at the upcoming Friday night game at Suncorp Stadium, will directly support this program.
This raffle mechanism offers fans a direct opportunity to participate in a charitable cause, intertwining fan engagement with philanthropic outcomes.
The Broncos have already facilitated wishes for two fans, Patrick and Don, through the Ambulance Wish program.
Patrick, a long-time supporter, experienced a front-row interaction with players after a training session. Don, also a dedicated fan and former NSW Cup player, watched the team train before meeting players and Coach Michael Maguire.
The Ambulance Wish program operates using decommissioned, bespoke ambulances donated by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) to provide curated wishes for palliative and end-of-life patients.
By supporting such a program, the Broncos align their brand with compassionate community care, potentially enhancing brand affinity among a socially conscious audience.
