BPL Partners With Kayo And Mazda

head of its inaugural season, the Brisbane Premier League (BPL) announced a broadcast partnership with Kayo, as well as a major partnership with Mazda.

As part of the broadcast partnership, Kayo will stream six senior BPL matches, in addition to the senior semi-finals and final live and free on Kayo Freebies.

BPL chair, Stuart Giles, said: “We’re absolutely over the moon to partner with Kayo to broadcast the inaugural Brisbane Premier League.”

“The BPL is a T20 showcase and to have a partner like Kayo on board allows us to show the world some of the incredible talent participating in the league,” Giles said.

The partnership with Mazda, otherwise, will see Mazda given access to a number of community engagement, brand awareness and direct B2B opportunities throughout the season.

On the Mazda partnership, Giles said: “The BPL is a very unique commercial proposition with over 800 amateur players playing across six age groups, so we’ve had a lot of commercial interest in the BPL since we launched late last year.”

“It’s very pleasing to have now finalised our partnership with Mazda.

“There are an iconic brand and we can’t wait to develop a close working relationship with the team here in Queensland.

“Mazda will play a key role in the delivery of our match day experience.

“We also have a very diverse group of league and team owners who present a great opportunity for Mazda to engage with and present unique B2B opportunities.

“We have long term plans to expand into other states and we look forward to taking Mazda on that journey around Australia,” he said.

Mazda Queensland state manager, Luke Bell, said Mazda is proud to be name major partner of the BPL.

“Mazda is honoured to play a role in giving aspiring cricketers a pathway to achieving their sporting dreams and building the next generation of cricket legends,” Bell said.

“Mazda has always been a big supporter of sport in Australia, with a number of longstanding sponsorships across professional sporting codes.

“The BPL partnership gives us an opportunity to have an impact at a grassroots level and to give back to the communities in which we operate,” he said.

The new T20 cricket competition was set to begin on Sunday 1 August before the Queensland Government enforced a COVID-19 lockdown which forced the start of the season to be postponed until at least Sunday 15 August.
