The Big Bash League (BBL) has announced a new partnership with healthy beverage company, Nexba for the remainder of the 2021/22 BBL season.
Nexba, who has been a partner of regional fund-raising program, National Backyard Cricket, will support the X-Factor, the league’s drinks break, and the Power Surge in each innings at every game.
Nexba will also provide an opportunity for customers to win tickets to the BBL Final on 28 January.
Cricket Australia head of commercial, Steven Palombo, said the partnership will encourage Australian families to make healthy beverage choices throughout the summer of cricket.
“We’re delighted to welcome Nexba to our valued family of partners this season and thank them for their support,” Palombo said.
“Nexba is a brand with perfect alignment to the Big Bash, it’s a fun, fresh and healthy option for families and like the BBL, is based on innovation and brave thinking.
“We look forward to seeing our fans making positive beverage choices at grounds around the country this summer,” he said.
Nexba ANZ general manager, Steve Smyth, said: “This is a fantastic partnership and reflective of a major shift in the conscious consumption movement.”
“Congratulations to Cricket Australia for their vision in creating healthier moments in sport, and in choosing Nexba to engage with cricket fans around Australia.
“Together with the WBBL and BBL, we want Australian families to know that it’s possible to make positive beverage choices that are all natural and completely sugar free, without any compromise on the experience we all love to enjoy,” Smyth said.
This partnership comes in the lead up to the BBL final, while the season has been filled with uncertainty and disruptions due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic, for more on the disruptions, click here.
