Adelaide United has announced a three-year agreement with Cara, a leading South Australian disability service provider, designating the organisation as the Exclusive Disability Charity Partner for both its A-League Men’s and Women’s teams until 2028.

The partnership represents a shift in the club’s community engagement model, focusing on vocational integration alongside traditional brand alignment.

In a first-of-its-kind initiative for the club, the partnership launches a dedicated employment pathway for A-League Women’s players.

This program is specifically designed to address the challenges professional female athletes face in balancing elite sport with long-term career stability, offering them meaningful roles within the disability sector. By welcoming players into the Cara workforce, the initiative provides high-quality staff to the sector while supporting the athletes’ professional development.

Commenting on the partnership, said Adelaide United Head of Commercial John Dagas, said: “We’re proud to welcome Cara as our Official Disability Charity.”

“Aligning with a local organisation that shares our belief in inclusion, opportunity, and making a real difference across our South Australian community is our greatest priority,” Dagas said.

Highlighting the partnership’s role in delivering on the brand promise of purpose and belonging, Cara Deputy CEO, Michael Kromwyk, said: “This partnership is about bringing the excitement of Adelaide United to in accessible, meaningful ways.”

“By offering employment pathways, we are highlighting the rewarding nature of our industry and celebrating the dedication of our staff,” Kromwyk said.
