Challenger Extends Title Partnership with PGA of Australasia in Record Five-Year Deal Alongside 2026-27 Schedule Launch

Retirement income provider Challenger has secured a partnership in the history of the regional tour, signing a five-year extension as Title Partner of the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia through to the end of the 2030/31 season.

Announced alongside the release of the 2026/27 tournament schedule featuring nineteen events across Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea. The upcoming season highlights milestones, including the centenary Queensland PGA Championship and new venue debuts at Secret Harbour and Peninsula Kingswood, alongside flagship tournaments like the BMW Australian PGA Championship at The Lakes and the Capital.com Australian Open at Kingston Heath.

Commenting on the importance of the long-term agreement, PGA of Australia CEO, Gavin Kirkman, said: “This five-year extension is a landmark moment for the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia.”

“To secure the largest commercial partnership in our Tour’s history demonstrates the confidence Challenger has in our vision, our players and the future of professional golf events across this region.

“Since joining us as Title Partner in 2023, Challenger has played a major role in helping us build momentum, strengthen our tournaments, create more opportunities for players to compete and progress their careers and produce awesome event experiences for our golf fans.

“This long-term commitment allows us to continue investing in our Tour, our events and the next generation of golfers chasing their dreams on the world stage,” Kirkman said.

Noting the organisation’s dedication to the spor, Challenger CEO, Nick Hamilton, added: “At Challenger, we’re in the business of providing Australians with long-term financial confidence.”

“This partnership is about playing the long game, investing in the future of Australian golf, creating more opportunities for players and inspiring more people to get behind the game.

Noting that the new calendar blends prestige with modern venue expansion, PGA of Australia GM of tournaments and global tour relationships, Nick Dastey, said: “The Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia schedule showcases everything that makes our Tour so special.”

“Celebrating the 100th Queensland PGA Championship is a wonderful milestone for Australian golf. The championship has played an important role in the history of our game and we’re excited to honour that legacy with a fitting celebration.

“At the same time, we’re continuing to highlight some of Australasia’s outstanding golf facilities. Joining us for the first time this season, Secret Harbour and Peninsula Kingswood are exceptional golf courses and will provide exciting new challenges for our members.

“The move of the BMW Australian PGA Championship to The Lakes marks another significant chapter for one of our flagship events, we can look forward to the return of two-time Masters champion Rory McIlroy to the Capital.com Australian Open while there’s an exciting run home in the race to win the Order of Merit, including three tournaments in New Zealand,” Dastey stated.
