Brisbane Broncos Extend Partnership with Higgins Coatings Through 2027

The Brisbane Broncos have secured a two-year extension with Higgins Coatings, retaining the firm as the club’s Official Commercial Painters and Associate Sponsor for the 2026 and 2027 NRL seasons.

The renewal includes an expanded strategic focus on the Broncos’ regional Queensland footprint, further embedding the national painting contractor into the club’s community and high-performance operations.

To commemorate the new deal, Higgins Coatings completed a comprehensive refresh of the Cyril Connell Performance Centre at the club’s Red Hill headquarters. The facility serves as the primary hub for the Broncos’ elite pathways, a system that has successfully transitioned 52 Academy players into the NRL to date.

Commenting on the partnership, Brisbane Broncos CEO, Dave Donaghy, said: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Higgins Coatings. Their work behind the scenes helps ensure our facilities reflect the standards we set on the field.”

“The Cyril Connell Performance Centre is a vital part of our football program, and this refresh is a fitting way to acknowledge both the partnership and the legacy of Cyril Connell, whose influence on this Club continues to be felt every day,” Donaghy said.

Describing how the decision to renew as a simple one based on commercial alignment and brand prestige, general manager of Higgins Queensland, Cameron Steindl, added: “Our partnership with the Brisbane Broncos has delivered outstanding value for Higgins Coatings and renewing for the 2026–27 seasons was an easy decision.”

“The Broncos represent everything we value and strive for—high performance, resilience, and a strong connection to the Queensland community.

“Being aligned with such a powerful and respected brand helps us strengthen our presence in Queensland and across the country.

“We’re incredibly proud to continue standing alongside the Club, its players and its fans, and we’re excited about what we can achieve together over the next two seasons,” Steindl said.

The announcement was timed to coincide with a significant cultural milestone for the club, as the NRL squad prepares to debut a navy tribute jersey this Saturday against the Wests Tigers. The kit honours the late Cyril Connell, a legendary scout and recruitment figure whose influence remains the foundation of the Broncos’ talent identification programs.
