Head & Shoulders, the Official Shampoo of the NFL, has kicked off the 2025 season with a new campaign, as rising Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson joins longtime brand icon and NFL legend Troy Polamalu joins the brand in promoting lifestyle and hygiene.
Legends and Rising Stars Unite for Scalp Health
Detroit Lions defensive end, Hutchinson, said: “It feels surreal to join Troy and Head & Shoulders. I grew up watching him on and off the field. As a defensive end, scalp care is key to staying comfortable and confident through long practices.”
Polamalu, who has fronted the brand for more than a decade, added:
“I’ve been tackling microbes for years, it’s great to have Aidan on board. Together, we’re showing fans that scalp care is part of every winning routine,” Polamalu expressed.
Sharing how the partnership embodies the brand’s mission, vice president of marketing for P&G Beauty, Robert Reiss, noted: “By pairing Troy and Aidan, we’re showing how NFL stars stay confident and game-ready. Head & Shoulders remains proud to support players and fans with scalp care they can trust.”
Boosting Confidence On and Off the Field
The campaign shows Hutchinson and Polamalu bringing their signature grit and focus to their scalp care routines.
The creative series launched during Thursday Night Football on October 9 with a spot featuring Polamalu battling the Microbe during the New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup.
The story continued in “The Recruitment,” where Troy recruits Hutchinson to the fight during the Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs game, followed by “The Chase,” premiering October 16 during the Steelers vs. Bengals matchup.
Fans can also expect real-life stunts, social activations, and creator-led content featuring surprise Microbe sightings throughout the season.
