The National Basketball League (NBL) has announced a renewed partnership with Europcar, extending the brand’s role as the Official Rental Car Partner through to the end of the 2026–27 season.

This renewal marks the continuation of a relationship that began in 2015, reinforcing Europcar’s commitment to supporting the league’s operational excellence and the vital work of its referees — both on and off the court.

Under the agreement, Europcar will continue to provide vehicle rental solutions for league operations, ensuring smooth travel logistics for players, coaches, officials, partners, and fans across Australia and New Zealand. The partnership also includes ongoing support for the Referee of the Year Award, celebrating excellence and professionalism within one of the game’s most important roles.

Commenting on the partnership extension, NBL chief partnerships officer, Shenae Beus, said: “Europcar has been a trusted partner since 2015 and continues to play an invaluable role in how our league travels and operates.”

“This renewal keeps a trusted brand at the heart of the game through our referees and ensures our teams, officials, and fans can rely on quality, flexible mobility as we deliver another massive NBL season,” Beus said.

Expressing enthusiasm for the ongoing partnership, managing director at Europcar Australia and New Zealand, Avdyl Kamberi, added: “We are excited to continue our partnership with the NBL for another two years,”

“We’re committed to supporting the entire NBL community — from players and staff to the dedicated fans across Australia and New Zealand — with the mobility solutions that suit them when they need it.

“Having witnessed the league’s remarkable growth firsthand over the last 11 years, we are eager to see what the future holds and to continue being a part of its success,” Kamberi said.
