The Denver Broncos have announced a multi-year extension of their partnership with 9NEWS, confirming the station’s role as the club’s Hometown Television Partner, a collaboration that started 14 years ago.
With the renewed contract, 9NEWS will continue to broadcast Broncos’ preseason games starting in 2025 and will maintain its production of unique local programming such as Broncos Huddle, Game Day Live, Broncos Tonight, and quarterly Broncos Specials.
Commenting on the extension, Broncos president, Damani Leech said: “9NEWS has been a valued partner of the Broncos for the last 14 years, and we couldn’t be more excited to renew and extend this partnership as the club’s Hometown Television Partner.”
“As the media landscape continues to evolve, 9NEWS has done a consistent job of keeping Broncos Country informed.
“They are committed to delivering engaging and impactful football content to Coloradans, including top-tier preseason broadcasts and exclusive programming,” Leech mentioned.
President and general manager of 9NEWS, Mark Cornetta, added: “9NEWS is proud to extend our long-standing partnership with the Denver Broncos as their hometown television partner.”
“For more than a decade, we’ve worked together to bring Broncos fans exclusive coverage, in-depth analysis, and high-quality programming.
“We look forward to continuing to deliver exceptional Broncos content, including preseason games and unique local shows, to our viewers across Colorado,” Cornetta said.
Since becoming the Broncos’ flagship television partner in 2011, 9NEWS has been pivotal in covering significant moments, including all three of the team’s Super Bowl victories (1997-98, 2015).
This partnership highlights the role of local media in fostering community engagement and enhancing the viewing experience for fans, while also adapting to the evolving landscape of sports broadcasting.
As the Broncos prepare for future seasons, the continuity of their relationship with 9NEWS is expected to yield valuable content that resonates with the passionate Broncos fanbase.
