TFA & QTF Announce Licensees for 2026-2028 Apparel Licensing Program

Touch Football Australia (TFA) and Queensland Touch Football (QTF) have officially announced the successful licensees for their new, amalgamated Apparel Licensing Program (ALP).

The framework, which commenced on March 1, 2026, replaces the previous independent state-based models with a streamlined system designed to reduce costs and improve supply efficiency for participants nationwide.

The program covers a 29-month period ending in July 2028, and encompasses all TFA Alliance States and Territories (ACT, VIC, TAS, SA, WA, and NT) alongside Queensland.

While the New South Wales Touch Association (NSWTA) currently maintains its own independent program, it is expected to transition into the national unified framework upon the expiry of its current agreements in 2028.

A Planned Step for “The Next Play”

The launch of the ALP aligns with TFA’s recently unveiled 2026-32 Strategic Plan: The Next Play, which focuses on “uniting communities” through safer and more accessible social sport.

QTF manager of commercial, events and strategy, Rachael Stacey, and the TFA commercial team will oversee the implementation, ensuring that all 10 approved suppliers adhere to the new national standards for production and delivery.

Approved Apparel Licensees (2026-2028)

Eight companies were selected following a competitive “Request for License” process, joining existing major partners New Balance and Tribal Sport. The approved suppliers represent a range of price points and design capabilities for clubs, affiliates, and regional teams:

Official Licensees Partner Licensees
EV2 Sportswear New Balance (Principal Partner)
ID Athletic Tribal Sport (Major Partner)
Inferno
Under Armour
KBS Sportswear
Paladin
S-Trend
Struddys

Uniform Compliance and Branding

Under the new ALP, it is compulsory for all new team uniforms to display specific branding to be eligible for major events, including the DoorDash National Youth Championships (NYC) and The Championships (NTL).

  • Queensland Teams: Must display both the TFA and QTF logos.
  • Alliance State Teams: Must display the TFA logo and their respective State/Territory logo.
  • Existing Kits: Teams with uniforms purchased prior to the new guidelines (Version 5.1) may continue to use them, provided they meet basic requirements, until a full transition is mandated in January 2027.
