Riot Games has entered into a multi-year partnership with Globant to accelerate digital transformation across League of Legends and VALORANT esports ecosystems.
The collaboration will see Globant support some of Riot’s most significant technology initiatives, including future applications of artificial intelligence to enhance broadcast viewing and mobile-first fan integrations.
The partnership underscores Riot’s continued investment in redefining how fans interact with competitive gaming. As the global audience for esports continues to expand, both organisations will focus on developing tailored, immersive experiences designed to strengthen engagement across millions of players and viewers worldwide.
Global head of Esports Partnerships and Business Development at Riot Games, David Mulhall, said the partnership allows Riot to move faster in key innovation areas.
“Globant shares our commitment to deliver the most resonant and engaging experiences for players and fans around the world.”
“Their deep expertise in technology will help us accelerate areas of the business so Rioters can focus on pushing creative boundaries of what’s possible in esports and live events,” Mulhall said.
Globant, which operates across media, entertainment, and gaming sectors, will leverage its Media & Entertainment and Games Studios to support Riot in areas including content delivery, digital infrastructure, game development services, product management, and ongoing live operations.
The company has previously partnered with global sports and entertainment rights holders including FIFA and Formula 1.
Sharing how the partnership represents a shared belief in the convergence of technology and community, Globant co-founder and CEO, Martin Migoya, added: “This partnership reflects our shared belief that technology and creativity can reshape how communities connect, play, and experience entertainment.”
Riot Games continues to expand its position as a leader in global esports, with major annual events such as the League of Legends World Championship and VALORANT Champions drawing millions of viewers worldwide.
The partnership with Globant aims to support the long-term evolution of those experiences, pushing advancements in broadcast technology, fan engagement and digital access.
