The Brisbane 2032 organising committee has to announced the launch of a survey to help develop their 2023 legacy plan.
The plan will outline the ways in which the committee will take advantage of the Olympic and Paralympic Games over the next 20 years, both leading up to and following the event.
The committee is inviting all Australians to share their hopes and dreams for 2032 and beyond by submitting a message through the survey.
The survey, which closes on Friday, 3 March 2023, will play a crucial role in shaping the legacy plan and ensuring that it reflects the desires and aspirations of the community.
In addition to the survey, the committee is also inviting members of the public to apply to attend the Legacy Forum.
This forum will bring together a diverse group of individuals from across the country to discuss and develop the legacy plan. Applications to attend the forum will close on Monday, 20 February 2023.
The committee said they’re excited to work with the community to create a legacy plan that will deliver lasting benefits to Queensland and Australia.
They also encouraged everyone to take advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and have their say on how the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games can make the most positive impact.
The announcement comes after the local organising committee announced Cindy Hook as their first CEO.
