The NSW Swifts have secured a major partnership agreement with Red Energy ahead of the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season.
The energy providers have signed a two-year deal with the five-time Premiers who will be looking to return to the Finals Series for the first time since 2016.
The Swifts, who wore yellow as the Sydney Swifts between 1997 and 2007, have worn red since 2008, when the team grew to encompass the whole of New South Wales.
Since that Premiership-winning year, the Red Dress has become synonymous with sporting excellence across NSW, and is a source of great pride for sports fans all over the state.
Along with the favourable colour palette, the pride and enthusiasm displayed by the Swifts on court is something Red Energy feel they can really get behind.
“We think this partnership is a great fit for Red Energy,” Iain Graham, CEO of Red Energy, said.
“We love the way the team goes about their business – they play to win but they play with decency and with a team-first attitude which really resonates with our values.”
“The players are great role models for inspiring our younger generation on fair play, team-work and resilience.
“The Swifts provide great opportunities in community engagement and we’re really proud to become part of the Swifts’ netball family.”
Netball NSW CEO, Carolyn Campbell, is looking forward to working alongside Red Energy in 2019.
“We have a very high level of performance here at Netball NSW and to reach it we need the support of our valued commercial partners,” Campbell said.
“I think the partnership between Red Energy and the NSW Swifts is a wonderful match for everyone concerned.
“Both are committed to achieving excellence in what they do and the partnership is a natural fit.
“I would like to thank them for their support which I know will really help Briony and her team in their Suncorp Super Netball campaign.”
