MLB Network To Air Postseason Baseball In Spanish

The Major League Baseball (MLB) Network has announced it will produce a Spanish broadcast of both the American League Division Series (ALDS) and Championship Series (ALCS) in October.

A further 200 hours of content is expected to be produced by the MLB Network, with match analysis and discussion sandwiching each game as part of the MLB Tonight show.

Additionally, English broadcasts, will be covered exclusively on TBS.

Discussing the first exclusive Spanish broadcast schedule since 2016, MLB Network president, Bill Morningstar, said: “This extensive content initiative perfectly aligns with Major League Baseball’s ongoing effort to strengthen and expand its relationship with Latino baseball and sports fans.

“We will produce these games with care, passion and in a high-quality way that our viewers have come to expect over the years,” he said.

The MLB Network, which oversees both the American League and the National League, will provide the ALDS and ALCS Spanish broadcasts exclusively on their network.

The Division Series begins on 11 October, with the Championship Series underway on 19 October.

The announcement comes after the MLB announced its return to London.
