Melbourne Victory has confirmed the extension of its partnership with Skechers, with the global footwear brand continuing as a Premier Partner for the next two A-Leagues seasons.
Under the deal, Skechers will continue supplying footwear to Victory’s coaching staff and playing group, while also maintaining a presence in fan engagement initiatives such as Victory Village.
The renewal comes as Skechers strengthens its entry into the football category, having recently launched football-specific products and secured high-profile endorsements, most notably Harry Kane.
Sharing how Skechers’ involvement had extended beyond traditional supply arrangements, pointing to the activation of fan initiatives as a key value driver for the club, Victory Managing Director, Caroline Carnegie, said: “Skechers has brought more than just footwear to our teams, having also brought Victory Village to our fans on select match days, which in turn helped the Club and our fans celebrate the culture and passion for football in Melbourne.”
For Skechers, the partnership provides a platform to build credibility in football while aligning with one of Australia’s most prominent A-Leagues clubs.
Saying how the collaboration supports Skechers’ broader ambitions in performance footwear, Brand Manager Andrew Kinsella, added: “We’re incredibly excited to continue our partnership with Melbourne Victory for a second year, especially as it coincides with the launch of our new SKX_2 CTRL football boot.”
“This partnership reflects Skechers commitment to performance, innovation, and excellence, both on and off the pitch,” Kinsella said.
Maintaining international partners such as Skechers helps diversify commercial revenue streams and supports wider fan engagement efforts at a time when A-Leagues clubs continue to explore new ways of broadening their reach.
