Inter Milan Expands E-Commerce Partnership

Italian football giant, Inter Milan, has announced an expansion to their partnership with eBay, where their branding will be on the team’s shirt sleeve.

The partnership also sees eBay become the e-commerce partner of the club as well as hosting the team’s online store on their marketplace.

Commenting on the partnership, eBay Italia general manager, Alice Acciarri, said: “Innovation and the continuous pursuit of excellence are the bedrocks and shared values on which our partnership with Inter is based.”

“This bond was further strengthened today with eBay gaining visibility on the club’s shirt, one of its most important commercial assets. We’re proud to have such prominence on what is a highly symbolic item for Inter fans,” she said.

Inter Milan CEO, Alessandro Antonello, added: “We’re delighted to announce this new and significant development in the agreement between Inter and eBay, following on from the start of the partnership a few months ago.”

“The presence of the eBay logo on the club’s shirt sleeves is proof of our brand’s growing attractiveness, and the reason behind a leading global e-commerce brand such as eBay choosing Inter as their first incursion into football sponsorship,” Antonello said.

The announcement comes after rivals, AC Milan, announced Giorgio Furlani as their new CEO.
