The International Cricket Council (ICC) has signed off on a partnership with renowned Indian consumer electronics brand, boAt.

Under the agreement, boAt has been granted the title of the ‘official licensee’ of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. To mark the partnership, boAt is set to unveil a limited-edition collection of smartwatches, inspired by the grandeur of the India-hosted World Cup, which kicked off on October 5. These smartwatches will boast distinctive features and designs paying homage to the sport, catering specifically to the passionate cricket fanbase.

Combining state-of-the-art technology, exceptional design, and unwavering love for cricket, these World Cup-inspired smartwatches and accompanying gift boxes are poised to become coveted items among cricket enthusiasts and devoted boAt followers alike.

This collaboration accentuates boAt’s commitment to enhancing the fan experience and forging deeper connections between fans and the sport they cherish. The association between boAt and the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 displays boAt’s widespread recognition as a brand synonymous with premium audio products, stylish wearables and cutting-edge accessories – as well as complementing the tournament’s sizzling action on the field.

Prominent members of India’s World Cup squad, Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan, are among boAt’s brand ambassadors. This partnership will enable boAt to further engage with fans and commemorate the achievements of the Indian team, who are one of the favourites to lift the trophy after the November 19 final.

“Cricket is the most popular sport and considered a religion in India, and we are excited to partner with the ICC to bring the fan experience to a new level,” boAt co-founder and CMO Aman Gupta enthused.

“Our ‘Move of Champions’ campaign continues to inspire people and the limited-edition ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 smartwatches will be the perfect way for fans to show their support for their favourite teams and players.”

Anurag Dahiya, Chief Commercial Officer of ICC, shared Gupta’s enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to welcome boAt as the Official Licensee partner of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. boAt is a leading brand in the Indian wearable market, and we are confident that our partnership will help us to reach a wider audience and deliver a memorable experience for fans around the world.”

Approaching its 10th anniversary as an incorporated company next month, BoAt has grown into one of India’s largest electronics brands.
