Fernwood Fitness Launches Fernwood Unfiltered: A New Era in Women’s Health Conversations

Fernwood Fitness is stepping beyond the gym floor with the launch of its podcast series, Fernwood Unfiltered.

Hosted by award-winning Australian journalist and TV presenter Georgie Tunny, the podcast started back in 23 September, tackling topics that matter most to women, from fertility and gut health to perimenopause and thriving through later life.

Each 45-minute episode blends expert insights with relatable real-life stories, creating a safe and informative space for women to learn, reflect, and feel heard.

National marketing manager, Kathleen Looney said Fernwood Unfiltered represents an evolution of Fernwood’s role as a trusted voice in women’s wellness.

“Women deserve credible, compassionate guidance, not the fads and misinformation that have dominated for too long.”

“We’ve brought together some of the best minds in women’s health who share our holistic view that wellbeing isn’t one-dimensional. We couldn’t be more excited to share this with women everywhere,” Looney said.

Designed for busy women, the podcast fits naturally into daily life — whether during commutes, workouts, or quiet moments of reflection.

“As Australia’s experts in women’s health and fitness, we’ve always been more than just a gym.”

“We’re a community and a trusted source of support. We can’t wait for women to listen in, learn, and most importantly, feel seen,” Looney added.

Drawing on her background, Georgie Tunny brings warmth and authenticity to the series.

Known for her work on Two Good Sports and other national programs, Tunny, said:“Being part of Fernwood Unfiltered has been such a privilege.”

“these are the conversations we don’t have often enough, and I’m proud to be part of a platform putting them front and centre. Every episode has left me inspired, and I know listeners will feel the same,” Tunny said.
